Amazon Legacy: Lauren Sanchez vs Patrick Whitesell

Jeff Bezos is the founder, chairman, president and CEO of Amazon. Amazon is an e-commerce and technology company. He is the richest man in the world. Prior to April of 2019, his estimated self-worth was $166 BILLION dollars!

In 1992, Bezos was working in New York where he met novelist Mac Kenzie Tuttle. They married in 1993. In 1994, the couple moved to Seattle, Washington where Jeff founded Amazon. The couple has three sons and an adopted daughter from China. In January of 2019, the couple announced on social media site Twitter they were divorcing after 25 years of marriage. The announcement was made shortly after the tabloid newspaper The National Enquirer broke the story of Bezos’s affair with TV media celebrity Lauren Sanchez.

On April 4, 2019, Bezos and Tuttle were officially divorced in Seattle, Washington when their divorce was finalized. Bezos is keeping 75 percent of the stock in Amazon. His net worth is now at merely $137 BILLION dollars, and he is still considered the richest man in the world.

The next day, April 5, 2019, according to celebrity website TMZ, Lauren Sanchez filed for divorce in Los Angeles.

Lauren Sanchez is a media personality, a former news anchor on a local news station, a frequent guest onThe View, and regular contributor to celebrity-type TV programs. In 2005, she married Patrick Whitesell, a Hollywood agent and founding partner of William Morris Endeavor Entertainment. They have two children together, a boy (age 12) and a girl (age 11). Also, on April 5, 2019, Whitesell filed his Response to Sanchez’s Petition for divorce. They both filed their documents in pro-per, meaning neither is represented by an attorney. However, according to TMZ, both documents list a famous divorce attorney to the stars as their address.

In California, divorcing is made simple as possible by the filing of forms. The forms include questions regarding most of the usual issues in a marriage and divorce. In the Sanchez-Whitesell case, both documents list they want joint custody of their children, and there is no pre-nuptial agreement between them.

TMZ speculates that this famous lawyer mediated the parties before they filed for divorce, so that all the issues from their marriage would be settled outside the public eye. There are no issues for the court to settle between them, so now they just need to wait six months for their divorce to be final.

In six months, when the Sanchez-Whitesell divorce is final can we expect an announcement that Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez are marrying each other?
