Breaking Up Brangelina Part II

As of September 30, 2016, there is no record that Brad Pitt has filed his response to Angelina Jolie’s Petition for Dissolution of Marriage.

However, according to The Los Angeles Times, TMZ and other news sources, Jolie and Pitt have voluntarily worked out a temporary child custody agreement regarding their children.

For the next three weeks:

--Jolie retains physical custody of all six of their kids.

--Pitt gets visitation of the children, but with conditions: “The initial visit is with a therapist present and the therapist then has the power to either allow Pitt subsequent unmonitored visits or insist on being present whenever he’s around the kids.”

--Pitt must submit to random drug testing. (According to the website Jezebel, Pitt’s first drug test was clean.)

--Jolie and Pitt with submit to counseling individually and will submit to counseling together with their children for family counseling.

--Jolie and Pitt have agreed to a structured plan of decision making regarding their six children.

Jolie filed her Petition for Dissolution of Marriage on September 19, 2016. Pitt has 30 days to respond to Jolie’s Petition. The 30-day time frame began from the date he actually received notice of her Petition (a copy of the Jolie’s written documents presented to him). However, there is no indication in the press on the actual date that Pitt received notice of her Petition.

If Pitt does not file a response within that 30-day time frame, Jolie can go back into court and ask that the court to grant her Petition for Dissolution dissolving her marriage and to grant the other requests she made in her petition, such as full physical custody of their children.

Stay tuned. More to come!
